The Fold is looking for a Porter to assist with keeping our restaurant location in a safe, clean and orderly condition. If you want to kickstart your career in the restaurant industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations, we’d like to meet you. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings or weekends.

We take pizza making seriously at The Fold. From traditional hand-tossed pizza to Nonna’s sauce, one bite and you’ll see why we’re a slice above the others.

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sweep, scrub, mop floors
• Dust furniture and fittings
• Empty and clean trash containers
• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
• Clean and stock restrooms
• Wipe down glass surfaces
• Wash windows as scheduled
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Courteous and pleasant to all guests
• Ability to work as a team with fellow porters and other staff
• Ability to follow direction from supervisors/managers
• Previous job references are required
• Availability to work nights, weekend and/or holidays may be required

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in the porter or janitorial field is a plus, but not required

 Physical Requirements:

• Remain standing for extended periods of time.
• Bending, squatting and lifting up to 20 lbs. for short distances.
• Ability to work with varying noise levels.
